Piano Lessons
CREATEWe learn to read music & play artistically. We also learn to express our own musical ideas at the piano through composing, arranging & improvising.
COLLABORATESolos are important, & we learn showy ones! But we also have many opportunities to play together in groups, through piano duets & rhythm ensembles.
GAMIFY LEARNINGWe play a huge variety of music-learning games in lessons, during lab, in home practice, & at Piano Club. Fun learning sticks!
SHAREWe share our music in a mix of informal & formal performances: Piano Club, recitals, & Festival.
Private Piano Lesson + LabIn their weekly private lessons, students learn to read music, play the piano expressively, & compose music of their own. Engaging music & off-the-bench games make learning fun!
Learning is extended in the studio lab, where students learn about composers, play music theory computer games, or complete projects at the digital piano. |
Piano Club Group ClassesA few times per semester, we meet in Piano Club small group classes. After each student performs, we build our skills through fun music theory games, ensembles, & other hands-on activities. Each Piano Club group includes 3-6 students of similar age & level.
Summer Piano CampAt a past summer camp, we explored rhythm & chords with a variety of fun activities, like bucket drumming, improvising, cup tapping, boomwhacking, & playing lots of music theory games.

"I really appreciate how you’ve helped my girls progress in piano this year. You took time to choose music for them that they really enjoy. They actually want to practice now!"
